Ben Behfar is an Iranian-American director, writer, filmmaker, and visual storyteller whose creative work spans narrative film, television concepts, animation, photography, design, and visual media. His work explores identity, transformation, human relationships, displacement, and the emotional space between reality and imagination.
Behfar’s creative approach combines cinematic composition, character-driven storytelling, atmosphere, symbolism, and a strong visual sensibility. His professional background includes directing, writing, production, digital filmmaking, visual development, animation, editing, post-production, branding, and creative direction.
Cinematix began as a production and animation studio in Orange County, Southern California, offering film, television, music-video, commercial, animation, photography, visual-effects, and creative-development services. Today, that creative history continues through Cinematix7—the home of Ben Behfar’s films, television ideas, developing projects, and future original productions.
Ben Behfar is an Iranian-American director, writer, and visual storyteller whose work explores identity, transformation, human relationships, displacement, and the emotional spaces between reality and imagination. His creative approach combines cinematic composition, character-driven storytelling, and a strong visual sensibility shaped by his background in film direction, digital filmmaking, design, and media production.
A graduate of Chapman University in Orange, California, Behfar has developed and directed work across narrative film, television concepts, experimental cinema, animation, and visual media. His projects include Someday’s Next Day (Roozi Dar Sale Jadid), Pin and Cube, Silent Music, Making Love with a Vampire, The Animation of the Eye, and After the Revolution, as well as television projects including Cerivat, Hiss, Yavash Yavash, and Mr. X.
Through Cinematix7, Behfar brings together filmmaking, writing, visual development, and production under one creative identity. His work moves between personal and universal themes, often using atmosphere, symbolism, humor, tension, and stylized imagery to create memorable cinematic experiences.
